DESIGN: from Prada’s 2005 collection, these black leather kitten heels feature refined pointed & stunning structural heel each heel adorned with an authentic l WWII-era sweetheart pin, delicate tokens once given by soldiers to loved ones during the war – creating a rare fusion of mid-2000s Italian minimalism and 1940s sentimental history.
pin is removable. suede patch on inside of heel protects the foot from any agitation caused by pin. last photo shows the heels without sweetheart pins.
CONDITION/ SIZE excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear to soles. Pins and embellishments are secure. EU 37/ US 6.5 or a narrow 7
ARCHIVAL NOTES: sweetheart pins were treasured symbols of devotion during World War II, worn as jewelry by sweethearts, in hopes their loved one would come home safe and sound.
